Roster Stars brings true daily fantasy sports to life with rosters featuring Legends of the Game. Follow these seven steps to build your roster and begin your own journey to becoming a legend.
Before building your roster, choose your contest: Free Play, $3 Rising Stars, $5 Champions, $10 Legends, $25 Icons, or $50 The GOAT Series. Pick the entry fee that fits your budget and click “Enter.”
So, pick your contest, press “Enter” and let’s make it happen!!!
Build the highest-scoring roster within the salary cap and outscore the other participants in your contest to win cash or prizes. Choose a player from the player pool for each required position (QB, RB, WR, TE, K, DEF). Browse the position tabs or search by name, review his stats, and click the “+” to add him to your roster on the right. Roster Stars assigns each selected player on your roster a score from his career game log, then adds all eight of your players’ scores together to determine your roster’s final total score.
Build your roster strategically within the salary cap. Compare players and find the best value for every salary cap dollar. The “Your Roster” panel helps you track your salary cap spending, so play around until you find the right fit.
So choose wisely, add any additions and be prepared to hit the “submit button”.
Enhance your playing experience with DNP (Did Not Play) insurance to replace a possible zero score with a player’s career average, or nominate a missing legend for the Roster Stars player pool, or add yourself to your roster as the Ultimate Player.
DNP (Did Not Play) Insurance is protection against the one bad break in this game: the numbers landing on a game where your player did not score. Without insurance, that game scores zero. With insurance, the zero is replaced by the player’s career average. Insure a player for $1, or the whole roster for $5 — and the week’s Spotlight Player always carries his insurance free.
The Ultimate Player is you. Draft yourself at any one position — quarterback one day, kicker the next — and a full 13-year template career plays under your own name, in the white Roster Stars jersey with number 1. It costs $1 per roster, one Ultimate Player per roster, and DNP (Did Not Play) Insurance works on you just like anyone else.
And if a past or present star is missing from the pool, Nominate a Legend: tell us his name and team, pay the $1 nomination fee, and we research him, build his card, and put him in the game within two business days — with an email to you when he is live.
So try these features and “Boost” your chances and involvement.
Submit your roster, review it, pay, and get your confirmation ticket — timestamped to the second to help avoid possible ties.
When your eight slots are full, hit Submit Roster. The Review & Pay panel shows your roster one more time, your contest, and your additions — DNP Insurance, an Ultimate Player, a nomination — all rolled into one TOTAL DUE. Nothing is final until you press PAY NOW, and you can always go back and keep editing.
The moment you pay, your roster is locked and timestamped to the second, and you get a unique ticket ID — that ticket is your entry, and a confirmation email follows. The timestamp matters more than it looks: if two rosters ever finish with the exact same score, the one submitted earlier places higher. Early rosters win ties.
So be Strategic, be Economical, be Smart and get your roster in “Early”.
Each day at 12 noon (Central Time), the submission window closes and every roster locks. The spinning numbers keep spinning until 1 p.m. (Central Time), when they stop to reveal a randomly selected career year and game number. All submitted contest tickets will be scored using those two numbers, with winners posted at 2 p.m. (Central Time). Good luck!
The secret sauce or heart of Roster Stars are the two numbers spinning at the top of the Lobby: Career Year and Game Number. There’s a 20-hour window of time, where you will be able to submit your roster of legends. At 12 noon Central Time (the following day), the roster submission window will close and no more rosters will be accepted for that day’s contests. At 1 p.m. Central Time the spinning numbers will stop, revealing one randomly selected pair of numbers for the day’s contest. Those two numbers will be used to score every roster in every contest.
For example, if the spinning numbers stop on Career Year 4 and Game Number 10; that means each player on your roster will earn fantasy points based on his actual performance in the 10th game of his 4th career year. Everyone gets the same numbers — your strategy comes down to the eight players you choose.
Scoring takes place from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Central Time. While you wait, feel free to research players career stats, watch player highlights, read about the Spotlight Player of the Week or visit Uncle Lou’s Chat Room to swap stories with him or other Legends.
There’s plenty to do on Roster Stars, so knock around and learn more about the greatest players of all-time.
All roster scores and results will be posted at 2 p.m. (Central Time). The top 50 participants in each qualifying contest will receive winnings in their e-wallets. Contests with fewer than 50 participants will be declared as non-qualifying, and all entry fees for that non-qualifying contest will be refunded.
You’ll receive email and/or text notifications about your contest entries. View each player’s score, your roster’s total, and the complete contest standings to see how you ranked against other participants.
For a breakdown of how points are awarded, visit our “How Scoring Works” page. You can also verify scores using each player’s “Full Career Statistics Log”.
Top 5 finishers will be celebrated a bit differently, but the Top 50 will also receive some amount of winnings.
So Congratulations on all of your future “WINS”.
